Perception of stressor by everybody is different from the others. Methods: This was a descriptive study. The purpose of this study was to determine perception of nurses towards ICU stressors. The samples were nurses working in ICU wards. The data were gathered by questionnaires and were analyzed through ANOVA. Results: The results showed that the most important stressors were fear of death, pain, being connected to drain and tubes with mean scores of 4.3, 4.25 and 4.23, respectively (P=0.05). The least important stressors were hearing other patient's noise, ringing the phone and looking at the ceiling with the mean scores of 2.66, 2.84 and 2.89, respectively (P=0.05). The results also showed significant differences for age, sex and educational degree. There was no significant difference regarding marriage (P>%5). Conclusion: Regarding the results of the study and the deep effect of stressors on disease trend, investigating the stressors can be modified with educational programs.http://ijnmr.mui.ac.ir/index.php/ijnmr/article/view/203
