In this survey, vaccination coverage in children under 6 years were evaluated. Methods: This research was a descriptive-analytic study on 308 children aged <6 year-old in Isfahan. The cases were randomly selected. Demographic characteristics of the family and actual vaccination schedules of children were collected. Chi-square test, fissure test and t test were used for analysis of data. Results: The findings of the research showed a descending trend in DPT vaccination rates of the first, second and third dosage by age in both age groups of 0-2 years and 2-6 years. Its first booster dose declined from 96.3% in the first DPT to 51.1% in the second one. In 2-6 year-old children, DPT vaccination declined from 91.8% in the first booster dose to 29.3% in the second one. For polio and hepatitis vaccinations, the rate declined from 96.3% to 51.1% in the first booster dose. Conclusion: Although the coverage of children vaccination in the first year was actually perfect, it declined after the first year of age and noticeable delays were seen in booster vaccinations.http://ijnmr.mui.ac.ir/index.php/ijnmr/article/view/257

It must be relieved as soon as possible because it may cause severe harm to the patients. The accompanied signs and symptoms possibly affect the perception of pain by nurses. It is a logical method that the nurses relieve the pain, which depends on the patients situation and also, the current professional rules that allows nurses to administer drugs in ICUs. Is the perception of patients pain by nurses the same as the patients perception of pain? Knowing the answer of this question is important for nurses to perform proper patient care. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study. The samples were selected in two groups (patients and nurses). The sample size included 30 patients and 30 nurses. Questionnaires and pain numeric visual scale were used to gather the data. The data were analyzed by SPSS software. Results: According to the gathered data, there were significant differences in pain perception between nurses and patients at several situations (P= 0/001) such as before and after pain relief. Since minutes and even seconds after admission are very important, the quality of services must be directed. By evaluation of satisfaction of patients and verifying those variables cause dissatisfaction and trying to correct these variables, patients satisfaction will improve and finally, physical and psychological recovery will be accelerated. Methods: This research was a cross-sectional qualitative study carried out in selected hospitals in Isfahan in 2000. The research sample consisted of 50 patients based on convenience sampling method. Research questionnaires were completed by participants. Results: Most of the participants were males married between 20-40 years of age. The highest number of the patients included those with head trauma (%38) who came to hospitals by themselves. Mean score of satisfaction for nursing services was 139/28 and for medical services was l34/71. Conclusion: Although the satisfaction level of nursing services was greater than that in medical services, no significant difference was observed.http://ijnmr.mui.ac.ir/index.php/ijnmr/article/view/259

In fact, one out of each 2500 children in the world suffers from diabetes mellitus. This rapid increase in the number of diabetic children has astounded the health experts. Since childhood years are critical in life, affliction to debate can have grave consequences for the patients in addition to the social and family problems. Methods: The present study was an evaluation of the problems of diabetic children and preadolescents, seen by their mothers. Fifty mothers whose children and preadolescent children had diabetes mellitus and were between seven to fifteen years formed the subjects of this research. These subjects were selected randomly. The data were collected through a four-section questionnaire, which was scored by the researcher. Reliability and validity of the questionnaire were established through test-retest method and content-validation procedure. The data were then subjected to descriptive as well as inferential statistics. Chi-square and t-test methods were used to see if the correlation among the variables was significant. Results: The obtained data indicated that males and females equally suffer from diabetes mellitus. The most noteworthy problems were hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia and infectious problems. Nocturia was the most frequent urinary problem and aggression was the most frequent reported psychological problem. No one was absent from school for more than two days in a month. Developing acute diabetic status formed the most important educational need. Significant differences were seen in age and body mass index, and general problems such as the length of the disease and eagerness to participate in school activities. Conclusion: The study showed that children and adolescents with diabetes mellitus suffer from health, educational, and psychological problems and need educational, social and economic support in order to take proper control of the disease in an acceptable wayhttp://ijnmr.mui.ac.ir/index.php/ijnmr/article/view/260

Unfortunately, there is no education on marital relations for MI patients and their wives after MI. This study investigated the effects of education on knowledge of MI patients and their wives regarding marital relations. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental study. The method of data gathering was questionnaires, which included two sections; the first section covered the demographic characteristics and the second part included 18 questions to investigate the knowledge of MI patients and their wives before and after education. Results: The results showed a significant difference (P<0/00l) between scores of knowledge before and after education. Conclusion: The findings showed that the patients do not have enough training in self-care and in how they can fulfill their needs after MI. This leads to more frequent hospitalizations in future and further complications for them and their families.
