Respect rate of patients rights in Ardabil Hospitals in 2002

Abstract


Introduction: Among significant factors that cause satisfaction of hospitalized patients are the care and respect which should be regarded within confines of the patient's rights and virtual limits by the health care providers. The present study was carried out in order to determine the rate of respect of the health care providers towards the rights and spherical limits.

Methods: A researcher-made questionnaire based on the patients' points of view was completed for 285 patients and the collected data were analyzed by SPSS software.

Results: The finding showed that %53.7 of patients believed that their rights were "often" respected by the health care providers. There was a significant relation between patients' education and patients rights.

Conclusion: The research findings can be used in nursing services, administration, education and research.
